We went over shading, and shading techniques today. I enjoyed learning how to properly shade with a tattoo machine, and now I feel more confident in my abilities and know I will only get better as time progresses. Today we went over on how to properly tune a machine. We went over the different parts of a tattoo machine, how they work, and what to listen for when tuning it. We also had the opportunity to practice on dead pig skin, and we learned the correct way of lining a stencil we placed on the pig foot. Meg C. After day 3, I felt MUCH more comfortable with the tattoo machine in my hand, especially considering the grip was metal and not plastic. Our instructor Brady was very thorough and answered all of our questions as we progressed. He made sure to teach us in a pace we could all follow without intimidation.
