I am not an expert on hummingbirds, but I love their movement, quick, and mysterious. I first became attracted to them in 1991 when a frined/coworker of mine told me I MOVE like a hummingbird, one second I was there and the next I wasn’t. I also took a great picture of one at the San Diego zoo that I was quite proud of, it is hard to catch them in flight.

I am getting a tattoo after my Daughter is born of her name through the tails feathers of a hummingbird to represent the beauty around me. I have my eldest Daughter’s name through a phoenix to represent the rising up from the ashes after the seperation from her father over two years ago.

THIS IS BEAUTIFUL! I AM 22 YEARS OLD AND I WAS VERY VERY ATTACHE TO MY GRANDFATHER AND HE RECENTLY PASSED AWAY AND THE VERY FIRST THING HE EVER TAUGHT ME HOW TO DO IS CATCH A HUMMING BIRD HE LOVED HUMMING BIRDS AND HUNG HUNDREDS OF FEEDERS IN HIS YARD ND THIS IS MADE ME CRY WHEN I SEEN IT !!!!! Yeah, it’s nice to know the meaning behind symbols … even though it might not be the same as what it means to you … that’s why tattoos are awesome because they are so personal.

How cool. I have a small hummer with one flower tattooed on my right hip…I am brown-skinned so the colors are wonderful.
