Today we learned how to properly tune a tattoo machine. We went over a class on what the different measurements on the power supply mean, and the approximate numbers you want them to be at, in order to have your machine running smoothly. It was a great class, and very easy to follow. After that, we were handed a two tattoo machines that were not tuned correctly and completely out of alignment. It took some practice and a lot of patience, but by the end of the class, I had tuned both my liner and shader machine. What I learned today will serve me very well in the future when preparing to place a tattoo on somebody.
